Restaurant Manager 

Work Experience: 3 to 5 years

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Restaurant Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our restaurant, PORT Kitchen & Bar, located within the G5A warehouse, a vibrant cultural centre. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for food, culture, and exceptional hospitality. As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the restaurant, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests, and providing a memorable dining experience that reflects both the spirit of the restaurant and the cultural centre.

  1. Operational Leadership
    • Responsible for the overall restaurant operations, including team management, scheduling and training 
    • Monitor and maintain high standards of service quality, cleanliness, and safety to uphold the restaurant and cultural centre’s reputation.
  2. Customer Experience
    • Prioritize guest satisfaction by ensuring patrons receive top-notch service and an authentic cultural experience. 
    • Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
  3. Menu Development and Quality Control
    • Collaborate with the team to create culturally-inspired menus that align with the ethos of the restaurant while also keeping the ethos in mind. Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
  4. Financial Management
    • Prepare and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities to optimize revenue. 
    • Implement cost-control measures without compromising on quality.
  5. Marketing and Promotion
    • Work closely with the marketing team to promote the restaurant through various channels. 
    • Participate in events and initiatives within G5A to attract diverse audiences and increase footfall.
  6. Training and Development
    • Train, mentor, and motivate the team to deliver exceptional service. 
    • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
  7. Inventory and Supply Management
    • Oversee inventory levels, ordering processes, and vendor relationships to ensure a well-stocked and efficient operation.
  8. Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling standards, and all relevant legal requirements.
  9. Event Management
    • Coordinate and manage special events, private bookings, and group reservations, tailoring experiences to meet the needs of various cultural celebrations and gatherings.

Work Experience – 3-4 years

We are looking for an Accountant with 3–4 years of relevant experience preferably in hospitality, arts, culture, or non-profit environments to support the financial operations of Port Kitchen & Bar and G5A Foundation for Contemporary Culture by ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, compliance, and smooth day-to-day accounting processes. The role requires attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to coordinate across teams to support both hospitality and cultural operations.

The position plays an important role in maintaining financial discipline and supporting the organisation’s operational and strategic goals through transparent and efficient financial management.

1. Accounting and Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting records for Port Kitchen & Bar and G5A. 
  • Record and reconcile all financial transactions including receipts, payments, invoices, reimbursements, and journal entries. 
  • Ensure timely updating of accounting systems and financial databases.

2. Vendor and Payment Management

  • Process vendor invoices and coordinate timely payments. 
  • Maintain records of vendor contracts, bills, and supporting documentation. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams for approvals and payment processing.

3. Bank and Cash Reconciliation 

  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow. 
  • Reconcile petty cash, POS transactions, and payment gateway records where applicable.

4. Compliance and Documentation

  • Support statutory compliance including GST, TDS, PF, PT, and other applicable filings. 
  • Maintain organised financial records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes. 
  • Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and external finance partners as required.

5. Reporting and Financial Support

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, expense statements, and budget tracking reports. 
  • Support leadership and teams with financial data and operational reporting. 
  • Track program expenses and support grant-related financial documentation where required.

6. Coordination and Operational Support

  • Work closely with operations, administration, and program teams to ensure smooth financial coordination. 
  • Support financial processes related to events, programs, hospitality operations, and vendor management.
